Newtown Nation’s Family Empowerment Initiative is a three-year pilot program designed to help families move from crisis to long-term stability.
Rather than offering short-term help alone, this program provides holistic, structured support for five families through personalized case management, financial coaching, mental health support, workforce development, and access to community resources.
What We Do
Families often face challenges that are deeply connected: financial hardship, limited access to healthcare, mental health needs, employment barriers, and unexpected emergencies. The Family Empowerment Initiative addresses these challenges together, not one piece at a time.
Each participating family receives:
- A personalized Family Support Plan
- One-on-one case management
- Monthly financial coaching
- Counseling and wellness support
- Job readiness and employment support
- Emergency financial assistance when needed
Our Goal
The goal is simple: help families become financially stable, mentally and physically healthy, and fully self-sufficient.
By the end of the program, families will work toward maintaining a household budget, increasing savings, improving credit and income, reducing crisis situations, and building a stronger foundation for the future.
The Cost of Impact
The estimated annual budget for the Family Empowerment Initiative is $70,000, with a three-year pilot total of $210,000. Funding supports case management, financial coaching, mental health services, emergency assistance, and program operations.
